The historic town of Volterra is still enclosed within the walls of the thirteenth century that protected the city in the Middle Ages. Here the story has really left its mark: on the territory of Volterra there are countless testimonies that arrive from the Etruscan period until the nineteenth century. Wonderful works of art and monuments of great importance may simply be seen walking through the streets of Old Town or visiting the city museums: the Etruscan Museum, the Civic Art Gallery, the Museum of Sacred Art, the Ecomuseum of Alabaster. Isolated and marginalized from the relevant trades, Volterra is a real jewel of the Tuscan countryside surrounded by fields, meadows and woods where nature dominates man. The paths that run around the village are ideal for hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding.
The chef of TRITONE have just one goal: delight guests with the best dishes of local tradition. And together with the regional and international cuisine is possible to taste even some great pizza cooked in wooden oven
